Michael sits in the development team at Wiispa. His role is focussed on client relations, together with leading on data analysis.

Ever drawn to roles where relationships and long-term growth sit at the heart of success, Michael began his career in London’s commercial insurance market, quickly developing a reputation for building trust with clients, partners, and stakeholders alike. Originally from Australia, he brought with him a grounded, pragmatic mindset and a natural ability to connect with people—qualities that would shape his career across both insurance brokerages and private equity–backed finance businesses.

Over the past decade, Michael has played a key role in helping high-growth organisations expand their reach, strengthen strategic partnerships, and unlock new commercial opportunities. Working closely with founders, lenders, insurers, and intermediaries, he has built a track record of developing relationships that underpin sustainable business growth. Known for his calm, thoughtful approach and strong sense of ownership, he thrives in environments where credibility, trust, and long-term thinking are essential.

Alongside his commercial career, Michael has developed a strong interest in the role of technology in shaping the future of business. He completed the Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, deepening his understanding of how emerging technologies can enhance decision-making and support more intelligent, scalable organisations.

Outside of work, Michael values continuous personal development, regularly training in the gym and applying the same discipline, consistency, and long-term mindset that underpin his professional approach. He also enjoys landscaping and gardening, finding satisfaction in building something meaningful over time. A proud father of three, he brings balance, perspective, and resilience to both his personal and professional life, and remains motivated by the opportunity to continue developing relationships and contributing to ambitious, growing businesses.

Fun Fact

When I first moved from Australia to Europe in 2012, I travelled to Pamplona, Spain, ready to take part in the running of the bulls festival. I even had the full Spanish bull runner outfit prepared, unfortunately, I slept through my alarm and missed my bull run!
