Ever drawn to roles where relationships and long-term growth sit at the heart of success, Michael began his career in London’s commercial insurance market, quickly developing a reputation for building trust with clients, partners, and stakeholders alike. Originally from Australia, he brought with him a grounded, pragmatic mindset and a natural ability to connect with people—qualities that would shape his career across both insurance brokerages and private equity–backed finance businesses.

Over the past decade, Michael has played a key role in helping high-growth organisations expand their reach, strengthen strategic partnerships, and unlock new commercial opportunities. Working closely with founders, lenders, insurers, and intermediaries, he has built a track record of developing relationships that underpin sustainable business growth. Known for his calm, thoughtful approach and strong sense of ownership, he thrives in environments where credibility, trust, and long-term thinking are essential.

Alongside his commercial career, Michael has developed a strong interest in the role of technology in shaping the future of business. He completed the Artificial Intelligence Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, deepening his understanding of how emerging technologies can enhance decision-making and support more intelligent, scalable organisations.

Outside of work, Michael values continuous personal development, regularly training in the gym and applying the same discipline, consistency, and long-term mindset that underpin his professional approach. He also enjoys landscaping and gardening, finding satisfaction in building something meaningful over time. A proud father of three, he brings balance, perspective, and resilience to both his personal and professional life, and remains motivated by the opportunity to continue developing relationships and contributing to ambitious, growing businesses.

Fun Fact

In his own words Jack is far from a proficient skier, however he manages to end up spending more time backwards down a run whenever he’s been skiing.

Jack sits in the Transactional Risk Team at Wiispa. His role is focussed on Warranty and Indemnity Insurance.

Jack started his career in private practice working as a corporate lawyer in M&A and private equity transactions before moving over to life as a transactional risks insurance broker.

Above all else, his interest was, and still is, firmly attached to resolving issues and communicating with clients on transactions and how this interacts with the commercial backdrop to a deal.

Outside of insurance, Jack is a keen pianist and baker (especially pastries) and is obsessed with all things theatre.
