Laurence sits on the Leadership Team at Wiispa. His role is focussed on executing transactions and continuous development of the insurance process for clients.

Ever on the lookout to blow off competitive steam, Laurence initially joined the legal world to be a litigator. Despite some late nights chasing fraudsters around Europe, it was the camaraderie and companionship of the Hogan Lovells Private Equity team where he first found home.

Generally working on a mixture of domestic M&A transactions and some larger cross-border deals, it was the variety of personalities in mid-market transactions that particularly piqued his interest.

When the opportunity arose to move into insurance in 2016 it opened a world of like-minded lawyers and underwriters to work alongside, and rarely a transaction went by without the chance to establish new relationships.

Laurence spent the last six years as part of a leading M&A broker placing W&I and Tax policies across the UK, Europe, Middle East and Australia. He firmly believes there is always common ground that can be found to unlock any difficult situation, and is excited for the challenges ahead.

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And which is more you’ll be a W&I broker, my son.”
