Mat’s career spans more than two decades, including roles in tax advisory positions at Mazars and PwC, as well as experience as a Revenue Officer with HM Revenue & Customs. Across these roles, he developed a strong foundation in tax strategy, risk analysis and client-focused solutions — skills he now applies to helping clients understand and navigate insurance risks with confidence.

 

Before joining Wiispa, Mat was the Head of Tax Insurance at a large multinational broker, where he led tax insurance solutions for all manner of domestic and international situations, working closely with deal teams, advisers and insurers to manage tax risk.

 

At Wiispa, Mat focuses on bridging the worlds of tax risk and insurance solutions, bringing clarity to the often-complex intersection of risk and coverage. He believes that thoughtful risk structuring not only protects clients but also enables smarter decision-making in fast-moving commercial environments.
